The Los Angeles Rams sent shockwaves around the NFL on Thursday by agreeing to terms with former Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson on a three-year, $46.5 million deal. This doesn't mean that the Rams are letting Odell Beckham Jr. walk, as Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reported that L.A. also wants to re-sign the player it acquired in the middle of last season. However, we could see a different receiver traded away.

After agreeing to terms with Robinson, the Rams began to receive calls about the availability of wide receiver Robert Woods, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Woods is recovering from a torn ACL, but according to Schefter, is expected to be ready for training camp.

In nine games with the Rams last season, Woods caught 45 passes for 556 yards and four touchdowns. His streak of two 1,000-yard receiving seasons came to an end in 2020, as he caught 90 passes for 936 yards and six touchdowns. Woods led the Rams in receiving yards in 2018 with 1,219 and six touchdowns.

Woods has been one of the more consistent offensive weapons for the Rams since he left the Buffalo Bills for L.A. ahead of the 2017 season. However, he's set to turn 30-years-old in April, and Robinson, Beckham and Cooper Kupp are a legitimate "big three" that has support behind them on the depth chart with guys like Van Jefferson

Woods is under contract through 2025 and has a cap hit of $15.7 million in 2022, per Spotrac. It's unknown what the Rams would be looking for in a potential trade, but teams are reportedly interested in striking a deal. One potential landing spot could be the Atlanta Falcons, who are reportedly in the mix to land quarterback Deshaun Watson. The Falcons won't have Calvin Ridley in 2022 and lost Russell Gage in free agency, so Atlanta will need to add a legitimate starter out wide whether it lands Watson or not.

Another team that is surely to be brought up is the Green Bay Packers. They traded Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday, and by the looks of their depth chart, need to make multiple additions at receiver. The Packers are of course an NFC contender like the Rams, which could be something that hurts the chances of a deal coming to fruition.
